We are thrilled to announce that the Trichology Clinic has again opened its doors at Sarum Physio.
Trichology is the science of the structure, function, and diseases of the human hair and scalp. You might consult a trichologist for many reasons, from hair loss to scalp problems, both of which can result from stress or treatment.
Did you know?
- The human head supports some 100,000 hairs.
- The head sheds approximately 100 hairs daily and replaces them at the same rate.
- The basic structure of the hair is that of hardened (keratinised) cells.
- Hair grows from a root or bulb below the skin surface. Held within a downgrowth in the epidermis called the hair follicle. Here, it is supplied with nerves and blood.
We are thrilled that the Trichology Clinic has reopened, and it gives us great pleasure to introduce Dr John Gray. John is a Fellow of the Institute of Trichologists and will join Marilyn Sherlock at the Wiltshire Trichology Centre at Sarum Physio.
