We are thrilled to announce that the Trichology Clinic has again opened its doors at Sarum Physio.

Trichology is the science of the structure, function and diseases of the human hair and scalp, and there are many reasons you might consult a trichologist. From hair loss to scalp problems, both of which can be the result of stress or treatment received.

Did you know?

  1. The human head supports some 100,000 hairs.
  2. The head sheds approximately 100 hairs daily and replaced at the same rate.
  3. The basic structure of the hair is that of hardened (keratinised) cells.
  4. The hair grows from a root or bulb below the skin surface and is held within a down growth in the epidermis called the hair follicle. Here it is supplied with nerves and blood supply.

You can find out more about hair on the Wiltshire Trichology Centre website here.

We are thrilled that the Trichology Clinic has reopened, and it gives us great pleasure to introduce Dr John Gray. John is a Fellow of the Institute of Trichologists and will join Marilyn Sherlock at the Wiltshire Trichology Centre at Sarum Physio.
