We offer one to one and class based instruction in modified Pilates which is recognized and endorsed exercise technique used by physiotherapists and recommended by orthopaedic surgeons.
It can:
•    Help prevent injury
•    Aid rehabilitation from injury
•    Help improve postural awareness
•    Enhance performance in sporting and everyday activities.

Modified Pilates is based on the original 34 Pilates mat work exercises, which have been modified to reflect the latest research and evidence in back and neck injury, core stability and muscle imbalance.
Pilates is suitable for anyone at any age.

Pilates mat work at Sarum Physiotherapy:

•  Courses are taught by a physiotherapist who is an APPI certified Pilates mat work instructor.
•  All the courses are held at Sarum Physiotherapy Clinic.
•  Minimum numbers per course 4, maximum numbers per course 6.
•  Costs are by course not pro rata.
•  No refund will be given for classes missed.
•  Courses may only be booked 4 weeks in advance of the start date.

09:00-10:00 Beginner/Refresher course.
This module is suitable for beginners or for those who have not done Pilates for a while or simply wish to brush up their technique.
10:15-11:15 Healthy hips and backs. This module uses the Pilates technique to target both the hip joint and back. Its aims are to strengthen and develop  hip movement, improve gait and balance and provide increased confidence in strength and robustness of the back.

AUTUMN:
Tuesdays 13 September – 1 November, 8 weeks, cost £80
