Leona Puxley qualified from the University of Hertfordshire in 1999. She started her career in the NHS in Exeter focussing on orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
Since 2005 Leona has specialised in military medicine working in various Army medical and rehabilitation centres around the south west. She also established a new residential rehabilitation centre for injured firefighters in Devon.
Just back from two years in Paris, Leona is studying for a Masters degree specialising in sports Physiotherapy at Bath University. Leona uses manual therapy and soft tissue release to support the use of movement and exercise in recovery from injury. She is trained in Pilates and uses this approach with individual clients. She has a special interest in lower limb biomechanics and optimising movement control but is looking forward to the varied caseload at Sarum Physiotherapy.
