Physiotherapist, BA (Hons), MCSP
Isabel Howse (Izzy to those that know her) qualified at the Middlesex Hospital in 1984 and worked in several London hospitals before going in to private practice in 1989. Specialising in dance injuries, she looked after the Royal Ballet Schools and many of the West End productions before moving to the Salisbury area in 1992.
She has over 25 years experience in musculoskeletal, spinal conditions and sports injury physiotherapy and trained in acupuncture and Pilates. Izzy joined the Sarum Physio team in 1995 and helped set up the Pilates classes.
“As a sportsman I have always highly valued the work of a good physio. I am now well past retirement age but their expertise and care are still as valuable as ever and probably still ‘treating’ old injuries that were not properly remedied years ago, as I was too impatient to get back playing!
I discovered Izzy who has not only provided ‘good maintenance’ as needed but recently when I fell off a ladder while decorating and broke my ribs she was terrific. Her knowledge and experience provided the appropriate treatment. Her excellent practical advice regarding anything from the best positions in which to sleep, advice on pain relief and the correct exercises to restore muscle strength have been invaluable. Without this expert care my recuperation would undoubtedly have been much longer. A big thank you.” John Perry
