Alex Beck is our Physiotherapist who specialises in the assessment and treatment of children.
After graduating from the University of the West of England with a BSC (Hons) in Physiotherapy and then completing her general rotations, Alex focused on a career in Paediatrics.
Having worked in General Paediatrics Alex then spent a year at Southampton General Hospital, primarily treating babies under two years of age with a variety of complex needs. Including those born prematurely and with neurological conditions. Alex also worked within the Specialist Regional Neuromuscular Service during her time at Southampton.
Alex is now a Senior Children’s Physiotherapist at Salisbury District Hospital, working with children between 0 -16 years of age. She specialises in the musculoskeletal and orthopaedic field and continues to work with children with neurological conditions or those needing developmental input.
Alongside this Alex has worked within numerous sports settings with both children and adults. She is currently part of the physiotherapy team supporting the Bath Rugby Academy Programme.
Children are not just small adults and Alex is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential, as such she tailors her assessment and treatment to the age and needs of each child and their family.
Fun and friendliness is at the centre in every session!
